Elusive Butterfly

I once had a butterfly come to my finger.
I was overjoyed he had come to visit me.
I wondered in my mind
as I looked and held the butterfly.
Many thoughts ran through my mind
as I marveled at the great beauty
of the magnificent butterfly.
I thought about beauty and what it is,
but as I tried to put it into words,
it seemed to elude me.
For the words had no meaning
compared to the experience.
Such is Life.
