I'm wondering about the re-opening  of ones heart....once it's been "wounded"...again.  Age and experience speaks/knows that it happens; yet, in the re-kindling of my hearts light it still aches. 

Lovingly, I think Rumi, as always, speaks to this so well:

The agony of lovers
burns with the fire of passion.
Lovers leave traces of where they've been.
The wailing of broken hearts
is the doorway to God.

I only wish there were other, easier (!) doorways to Spirit.....(big smile!)

I once had a butterfly come to my finger.
I was overjoyed he had come to visit me.

I wondered in my mind
as I looked and held the butterfly.
